    [UVC sterilisers]
    Ultraviolet-C (UVC) radiation has wavelengths of 100nm - 280nm and is in the spectrum of the sun’s radiation that we are rarely exposed to, as the ozone layer in the stratosphere prevents UVC rays from reaching the surface of the earth.

    Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI) is a disinfection method that uses UVC. This method of disinfection has been applied in the disinfection of surfaces and sanitisation of drinking water. UVC sterilisers which use UVGI have been applied in the healthcare sector and in research. The efficacy of UVGI against a range of microbes has been demonstrated in numerous studies. 1-2


    [Challenges in using UVGI]
    UV disinfection has a short turn-around time (less than 30 min) and does not leave any chemical residues behind after treatment. However, the following factors must be considered when it is applied, whether as a fixed installation or as a portable system:

    1. There must be line of sight from the UVC source to the surface to be disinfected for treatment to be effective. High-touch points that are obscured may be missed. For example, surfaces of door handles, handle bars, or toilet flushes that are not directly in the line-of-sight will not be disinfected.

    2. The effectiveness of UVGI in inactivating microorganisms depends on the duration of exposure, intensity, distance of surface from source and wavelength of the UV radiation. There is therefore a need for careful calibration and monitoring.


    [Is UVC safe?]
    UVC poses potential health risks such as eye injury (e.g. irritation and inflammation of cornea) and skin injury (e.g. erythema). The World Health Organisation (WHO) has advised that UV sterilisers should not be used to disinfect the hands or any areas of the skin.3

    Chronic exposure to UV radiation can also accelerate the skin aging process and increase the risk of skin cancer. Care must be taken to ensure that the irradiated space is not occupied during UVGI, and measures must be in place to prevent accidental exposure. 4-5

    UV products are to be kept out of reach of children.

    As UVC radiation can cause eye injury (e.g. irritation and inflammation of cornea) and skin injury (e.g. erythema), NEA does not recommend the household use of such products. Other alternative disinfection methods are available. Please refer to NEA’s list of active ingredients and household disinfectant and cleaning products for disinfection of the COVID-19 virus.

    Item is very unstable, even when I put on just 1 bike.
    The holder slides away despite multiple adjustments and tightening.
    This rack is to put my son’s bicycles. With only 1 bike, the rack is already very unstable. Cannot imagine if I actually put up 2 or even 4 bikes as advertised,
    I’ve have packed your item up up nicely as shown.

    We have tested the bicycle rack and 1 holder doesn't have an issue even with 15kg dumbbell so the bicycle rack would be fine to withstand the weight. However it could be a faulty product hence we need to do a further investigation.

    As you mention, the holder slides down so kindly do give us a movie clip to our ws num at 9834 9746 so we can see and check what is the wrong part is.

    Please note that we can return and test it but if its not faulty, buyer will need to bear the round trip fee (15-20 SGD) however we do not want to charge this so we would like to figure out the issue first via online. We seek your understanding.

    All nuts and screws are tightened to its maximum.
    Yet the bike just holder just slides off, causing the bike to sway. Cannot imagine if it have another bike on top of the bike.
    Very likely the bike will fall off itself, due to higher gravity pull on the weight. Plus I am planning for at least 3 -4 bikes as purchased.
    The item is definitely unlikely to hold even 2 bikes.

    We have seen the images and video hence we would like to suggest the following options.

    1. If you want just refund without providing any further investigation, we need to charge 30SGD as we can only proceed as change of mind. Because without any confirmation of faulty item, we are not able to just proceed refund as once the item is opened, it is non-refundable. But if you don't want to do anything. This is the option.

    2. If you wish to use this product and wants to check whether the parts is faulty , please provide the photo that we requested. Then we will try to solve it.
    - video of the bicycle is sliding when putting on the bicycle holder
    - picture of the bicycle holder close up as per the picture we have send you earlier.

    We are an ACRA registered company and Let's Mary store is running this business almost 10 years. We are here to help you not just reject your return request.

    $30 is offered with good will because 1st trip fee and return fee (we paid and will be paid) included.
    Normally this item is not returnable if it's not defective but if it is defective, we will provide replacement. However, once item is assembled, it not able to sold and is non-refundable but we gave you an exception with options that we propose . If it's too expensive, kindly provide more movie clips so that we can check.

    Hi, just to clarify $30 include 1st trip delivery, return & processing fee. so when you choose to return the item, it will be borne by seller side hence we required you to make that payment via paynow and then we will make the necessary arrangement. There will be no deduction from the refunded amount unless Qoo10 charges something on that. We will ask Qoo10 to refund fully.
