Follow up to my previous review where I had issues with the V50. The previous unit has a hairline scratch across the ultra wide angle camera which affected camera performance in some lighting conditions, see previous feedback to see what I mean. This is the one i ordered again to try and get a "better" condition V50. Again, delivery and packaging is excellent, and price is good. The exterior condition for this unit is better aside for a deep scratch on the top of the screen which you can feel with your fingernail. So not what I would consider to be a tiny mark like described, but at least it's not that long and outside of viewing area. So for a used phone, I'm okay with it. Unfortunately it has a screen defect where it has an uneven tint at lower brightness (which is basically anything but outdoors). See photos to see what I mean. Top left area is greenish, bottom right is pink-ish. The phone on the right is showing the same exact gray coloured image. It's more obvious on a gray background at lower brightness, which is basically most UI and apps on night mode. For those who are not familiar with it Pixel 2 XL and 3 with LG screens are known for this, I encountered the issue on both of those devices and local service centres have replaced the screens no questions asked. My previous V50 had no such issue, and another friend of mine bought one from this seller as well and his screen was fine too. The only option the seller provided was for a return, which as I've mentioned is not a satisfactory solution since shipping is apparently $30+ (see seller's reply), plus the screen protector, case might incur extra charges according to seller listing. That is on top of needing to package the item properly for shipping, printing return label. Cause if the item gets damaged while shipping that's on you. So for anyone reading this, don't throw away the bubble wrap and box like I did. keep it until you're absolutely sure the phone is fine. I placed too much trust in the seller and paid the price. Asked qoo10 for help, and as you can see from the 4th screenshot i posted, seller don't even think it's a defect even though i provided a ton of images and comparison with another phone showing the issue. They even brought up my previous claim. I'm sure they checked the phone, but probably not as thoroughly since the uneven tint is less obvious when on lighter background. By default night mode is off and most of the UI is white background so they probably didn't notice. While I understand that they might have missed that, because unless you've faced this issue a couple of times like I have with other LG screens, you might not even check for it. But even after showing photos, they still don't think it's an issue? So despite the buyer being the one who received 2 phones that had issues in row, I end up being penalised for it. To me if there is a defect that affects functionality, how can it be classified as "Grade S"? Keeping in mind that Qoo10 customer support even mentioned that I might be charged for 2 way shipping if they don't agree with the defect, doing a return is a risky move considering the seller can just deny the defect entirely, which at this point, is definitely a possibility seeing the way they've reacted. From their point of view, i can understand their skepticism for sure, which is why i'm still neutral about recommending this product. Qoo10 customer support can easily check my purchase history and the amount of tech/electronic products i've purchased from qoo10 over the years, and I've not had any issues with any of them. Just with this seller this time round. So personally, I would not want to deal with this seller again (or other similar sellers), not just because I got 2 phones in a row with issue that affects functionality to varying degrees, but also from the way the seller handled the situation, how troublesome it is to deal with an overseas seller, and how little recourse the buyer have in this situation. So in the end, while i was hoping to get what I paid for, which is a grade S phone without issues, i'm just going to try and live with this. Again, still a nice phone and decent price, and i might just be unlucky. but just be aware. Hopefully, this feedback will be useful to others looking to buy the phone, and useful to the seller as well. Because hopefully now that I've brought this issue to their attention, they can check their phones more thoroughly so that future buyers don't have to face the same issue I did.more review

Took a while to give my feedback because of some issues I faced. Starting with the good stuff, delivery was fast and everything was safely and well packaged as expected, since I've purchased a V30 from the seller before, and that was exactly as expected. The phone condition was mostly as described with hairline marks on the rear glass, but the unfortunate thing is that one of the hairline marks was a long line right across the ultra wide angle camera. While the camera is unaffected in day time, at night in certain lighting conditions, it causes varying degrees of light flaring when the light hits that scratch. See my photo samples and comparison with the S10. I contacted seller about this and seller offered the option of returning, or partial refund of S$30. No exchange option because they mentioned it's too expensive. And for the return, according to them I have to bear the shipping, and according to their listing if any of the accessories have been used, there will be extra charge. So that option is not viable. So i took the option of the refund. I decided to try to order another V50 because I do use the ultra wide camera. A friend of mine didn't mind that issue since he's not going to be using it to take photos (only listening to music) so he took over the phone from me so i ended up only making a tiny loss on that phone. That would have been the end of it, but sadly the 2nd phone ended up having an issue with the screen (uneven tint that's quite well known on LG screens on the Pixel 2XL and Pixel 3, didn't expect the V50 to have it too since the previous V50 i bought didn't have this issue). I can't make a feedback on that listing yet, but the gist of it is... the seller only gave the option of a return this time round. So again, it's not a reasonable option IMO. According to the seller, return shipping is $30+, and on top of the accessories that I've use it's just not worth it. Unless there is a guarantee of a full refund at no cost to the buyer (since the item is not as described and has a defect), it makes no sense to do a return and run the risk of the seller claiming there is no issue and charging you for everything they can. Qoo10 customer service is of no use as well, so in the end it makes more sense to just keep the phone and live with the tint, rather than paying for the shipping and all that, and end up with no phone at all. That's on top of the hassle of needing to package everything back (provided you kept the box and bubble wrap), and the need to print a return label (provided you have a printer at home). Other than the issues i faced specific to the seller, the V50 is a nice phone though and one that I really wanted (so much that I bought it again to get a better condition one). But I just don't have it in me to try again with the seller. I wouldn't tell you to avoid the seller because maybe i'm just that unlucky and got 2 phones with issue in a row, since most other seems happy with theirs. But I also don't think i'm being fussy since the item was described as Grade S with a few tiny marks only, and is said to have been through checks, so the working condition should be perfect. But instead both sets I bought had issues that affects the functionality of the device to varying degrees. It's still a nice price for a good phone, and if you want to buy one, your luck is might be better than mine. Just wanted to share my experience here so you guys are aware of your options and recourse if anything does go wrong (touch wood). After all, it's a used phone from overseas, and it won't be as easy as buying a used phone that you can check beforehand.more review
