Aircon unit is strong but LOUSY installation done! The installer has installed the aircon onto the ONLY window of our room. He removed the top hung window handle, without consulting us. He should have given us an option, to keep the handle and still let in the fresh air.
He blocked out the other half of the window with a wooden plank, thereby rendering total darkness in this room.
This is the first time we purchased this kind of casement aircon unit, he should have given us some sound advice.
When we contacted the installer asking whether it is possible to use an acrylic panel to replace the wooden board after the installation, so that we could let in some light into the room. She told us there is a charge of $140.
We have understood from another seller, that if we have opted for the acrylic panel in the first instance, the surcharge is only $80.
And we are puzzled, why was this option not open up to us for consideration, when they saw that this is the only window of the room?
Moreover, the installation charge posted on your advertisement for top hung window is only $100, but we were charged $120. In the end, we get our own contractor to replace the wooden plank with the acrylic panel to let in the light.
We hope this feedback would come in useful for the next buyer, who is in the same situation as us.
We are now still trying to find a solution on how to put back the top hung window handle to let in the fresh air.
We are totally disappointed with the installation done.
The only consolation is that your aircon unit is very powerful for our small room.
